Hello friends. Can you believe all the rain? Mammoth and many mountains have all time record snow and they have been keeping records since 1893. Have you heard about the “California Double?” Surfing and snowboarding on the same day have become a reality. The Queen Mary is open again for public tours for the first time in 3 years. Not a good year for the Lakers and Clippers. Baseball is here again with the Dodgers hoping for another world series run and the Angels looking for improvements. Phenom Otani of the Angels will be a free agent at the end of the year and is worth going to see play this season. A pitcher and home run hitter, he’s been called the Babe Ruth of modern baseball.
California’s wildflower sites may have a super bloom from all the rain. Antelope Valley west of Lancaster may be the most convenient. The LA Times recommends the Antelope Trail North Loop and Kitanemuk Vista Point. Lake Elsinore’s flowers are closed this year to prevent damage from too many visitors. Be careful not to damage the flowers and watch out for rattlesnakes!
