This is a 23 acre original town site of Grizzly Flats founded in 1850. This land is featured in a book called – Fire in Sierra Nevada Forests: A Photographic Interpretation of Ecological Change – This land was the site of the Old Wheeler mine, and there are oar cart tracks and a stamp mill foundation still there.
