Hello Friends. Summer is here. Vacations are on and school is out. The week of June 29th to July 7th was the busiest travel period ever with nearly 71 million people traveling. Were you one of them? Great day trip for the summer is going to Balboa Island. Park by the pier and ride the ferry to the Island. Fun walking around plus back on the peninsula they have a fun zone, Ferris wheel, small boats for rent, lots of shops, restaurants and the beach. With the Boston Celtics winning the NBA crown, other teams are making a lot of moves. The Lakers now have Lebron and Bronny James as the first father and son pair to play on the same team. Star Paul George of the Clippers jumped to the 76ers. WNBA player and sensation Catlin Clark is the first rookie to get a triple double. Six Dodgers (Ohtani, Glasnow, Smith, Betts, Freeman, Hernandez) will represent LA in the all star game. Kevin Costner’s western epic Horizon didn’t do well in theaters, with part two in August. I enjoyed it but it was very long. Not for kids but it certainly shows all sides of the Wild West. AI darling Nvidia recently became the most valuable company in the world with an evaluation exceeding $3 trillion. Time for a correction or a new high? State Farm is requesting approval for a 30% increase in home owner policies in California. Ouch!
