Hello Friends. Are you ready for 2024?
Did you know that for the first time ever Torrance has an outdoor ice rink at 1408 Cabrillo Ave. in Old Torrance that will be open through January 7th? Named the “Ice Fantasy Skating Rink.” Cost is $16 per adult and $14 per child (3-12 years old), 55 and older and military $15. All students from Torrance Unified only $9. Check hours before going as they do vary and have a great time.
The El Segundo little league team that won the world series will be on a Direct TV float in the Rose
Parade. Carol Hales won the Torrance farmer’s
market pie making contest. Congrats on winning with her delicious strawberry rhubarb pie.
Gas has gone down along with mortgage rates prior to this newsletter being written. Stocks and crypto are both up. Will we see another December rally
in stocks, known as the Santa Claus rally?
The highly anticipated Tesla Cybertruck is coming out soon. It may be available at Del Amo by the first of the year. It will be exciting when it arrives!
USC and UCLA both finished a disappointing 7-5. The Rams and the Chargers have both struggled. Ray got to go to an exciting Chargers game at So-Fi. The stadium is very impressive if you have never been. And we still have the Lakers, Clippers and Kings to root for. Torrance High won their first CIF title 23-7 in November. Way to go Tartars!
